What is the cost/saving that will be realized from SB 512? How/where were these figures determined?

What type of influence—lobbying/finances—has the Commercial Club of Chicago, Illinois is Broke, and other like groups had on developing SB 512?

How will SB 512 help Illinois schools in hiring and retaining the “best of the best” educators?

The Illinois General Assembly created the crisis by relying on “pension holidays” and underfunding of the pension systems to divert revenue to address other expenditures. How does SB 512 prevent similar practices in the future?

Shouldn’t pension reform and/or pension reform discussions include thorough exploration of all alternatives as well as direct participation by all stakeholders/stakeholder’s representatives in said discussions?
